I found it at a flea market for 15$. It is an "illusion" by lasermax. Never heard of it but I hope it can soak up a littlle recoil. Any thoughts?

Welll if you break it your not out much :) Good luck with the new red dot let us know how its holding zero in 100 rounds. That will tell the tell if it holds zero, I've got a red dot that I move from gun to gun and holds zero pretty well considering how large the dot is at 100 yards.

My thoughts exactly. If it breaks you have little invested, and if it holds up, you will have the last laugh!

Put it on a 22 and it will probably last a while.

HI,
DO NOT use the B-square mount on the 44, it will not hold up.

Scope holds zero well. Finally got a chance to shoot it of a sturdy rest and with 240 gr. lee TL SWC and 5.0 grains of bullseye the best group was one hole the size of a quarter with 6 shots at 7 yards and about a 3" group at 25 yards. Tried a 240 xtp with 23 grains H110 and a 180 xtp with 30 grains H110 both with excellent results. I think I'll hunt with the cast boolit though.
