Here's a $1000 question.

How much smaller than the final case diameter should I make the dies?

To simplify, about 2-3 thou in all dimensions to accomidate brass springback.

But STEEL springs back more. ;)

I'd suggest getting a book on stamping die manufacture and see how much oversize a stamping die needs, and adjust formula accordingly.

Steel is going to EAT whatever metal you use for the die with use.

I am talking to a local metal spinning company about running an order for me, so far they've been too busy to even quote. Guess they have a capacity to make tools in enough quantity to sustain production. If I was doing that in my shop, I'd had to order tungsten carbide tooling.
