Herter's Model 4 A 8 round ball mold.

I recently acquired a Herter's mold. It's a model 4 A 8.
It has six cavities for round balls of three sizes.
Am I correct in assuming this mold is for casting round balls of buckshot?
I tried doing a search on-line but came up snake eyes.

The mold u have is a sinker mold.. You can google Herters 4a8 mold and will find a little information on this mold.
