Lyman Mould Master XX price

Ran up on a Lyman Mould Master XX lead pot that a fella wants to sell. I brought it home and cleaned it and cast about 15 lbs of wheel weights through it. 2 drips the whole casting session and held temp between 630 and 670 degF the whole time. I was impressed. My dilemma is how much to offer!!! Works great, but you know there ain't no parts. So, what do ya think? Any help is appreciated.

That is a good pot, built by the same outfit that made the Saecos. Ask him first what he wants for it, before making your own offer. In this time where the casting community has to chose between high prices for good pots and those that fell out of a box of cracker-jax, a hundred would be a fair offer/price. Parts and rebuild method are available thru search on this forum if needed, but these rigs run a long time. Its definitely worth bargaining for so keep negociating. LLS

be advised that lyman no longer carrys spare parts for them so when it gives up the ghost its junk.
