And Yikes! I bought some lead-free solder from Grainger a couple of years ago - less than $100 for 10 lbs, delivered. Checked today, and they are asking $35/lb! Glad I have picked up some tin, and some solder, on eBay.

About 2 years ago Grainger cleared out their 63/37 tin/lead solder for about $2.30 per roll. I bought 40 rolls at the time.

You are better off buying tin form Rotometals for that kind of price.

I have a friend that buys me rolls of solder from estate sales and garage sales. It usually ends up costing about $2 a pound. I tell him to bring me all he finds.
