Handlles interchangablity

I have RCBS and Lachmiller molds with handles on them . Will either of them fit a Lyman mold ? Marvin

The handle slots in Lyman moulds are taller than those on RCBS moulds. The RCBS handles will work, but will require a shim to get a proper fit. Lee 6-cavity handles fit Lyman moulds perfectly.

Edit: The above relates to 2-cavity moulds.

I don't know about Latchmiller, but RCBS handles will fit Lyman single and two cavity molds. The slots in Lyman 4 cavity molds is smaller, made for the large and cubersome handles that Lyman make for them.When I get a 4 cavity lyman mold now I recut the slots to fit RCBS or Lee handles, they are both the same size.

So what exactly do you have to do to have Lyman 4 Cavity recut to work with Lee handles?

4 cavity lyman handle slots are 1/4" wide, I recut them to 5/16" .

I recut Lyman 4 cavities with a 9/16 slitting saw in a milling machine. Then all of the makes of the handles fit. Done this for years. The toolman

RCBS handles measure approx, .300". Lee handles approx. .308".
