Is Kahr still owned by Sun Young Moon's kid?

From what I could find:

Kahr Arms is an American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) small arms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_arms) manufacturer founded by Kook Jin "Justin" Moon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Moon) (son of Unification Church (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unification_Church) founder Sun Myung Moon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Myung_Moon)), who currently serves as CEO and President. It is owned by the Saeilo Corporation (pronounced say-low), a subsidiary of the Unification Church International holding company.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kahr_Arms#cite_note-portfolio1-0)

That is a twist. So all the profits are going to the Moonies.

Yeah, they've owned PMC for years too. Pan Metals Corp.

I hope this is not the downfall/downgrading of Magnum Research. I have owned a few Desert Eagles over the years. They are not a gun for the non-mechanicly inclined, but when properly tuned are awesome peices of firepower.

Their BFR's are absolutely top notch 5guns, and the Lone Eagles were unique quality guns as well.

He does seem to be a good gun engineer and committed to the shooting sports. I could care less about any religeon he affiliates with.

I just don't like a few companies owning several others. Seems like they are up to something and it isn't simply profit.

I understand that Freakshow, in the heating business there are about 4 manufacturers making over 35 "brand names". It has gone on for a long time.

Had a Kahr. It had a nasty scored chamber from the factory, so bad that it wouldn't extract. Ball, HP, cast reloads, it didn't matter. I called them up and mentioned the cast reloads and I was on my own, they weren't nice about it either: according to them my reloads broke their perfect gun. No Kahr, no more. No Auto Ordnance and now no Magum Research either.

I think ever maker of firearms in the book that comes with it states DO NOT USE RELOADS so telling them that you are using them is to me a NO NO. Like telling a cop that stops you for speeding I was not going 65 more like 75 but I slowed down when I saw you.

That's kind of an ironic position. Reloaders discuss their products which boosts their sales. So how do they respond? They punish us with repair costs when it's their fault. That's....un-Christian of them. Maybe we should eject them from the U.S. [smilie=p:

I can see structured stuff on a limited basis like GM Corp splitting up the brands into niches. An easy spread would be:

GMC: truck, van, sport utility division
Chevrolet: entry level passenger car (but keep the "known" like Camaro, etc)
Cadillac: luxury cars
Buick: mid level cars (also does EXCELLENT sales overseas)

Now that kind of structure makes sense. You're diversifying your assets to cover the bases. Kahr seems to get into redundancy now.

Ive bought 3 desart eagles,,,1 44mag,,and 2 50.ae,,and 1 bfr 45/70,,my opion there all junk, and a waste of good money...want a quality gun for the same amount get freadom arms...magun research does very poor quality at best. Ive sold all my guns from magnum research except one,,there 22 pistol i bought for my son, thats the only one i never had problems with. There quality control is below sub standard,as is the customer relations. Do yourself a favor stay away from the bfr,,and the desart eagles. Buy a kahr least you get what you paid for.

2 Kahrs, pro\b;ems with both neither problem corrected by the factory. Their recommendation was to only shoot ammo that worked in the gun. No more Kahrs ever.

#2 son had a 44MAG Desert Eagle. Paying for law school made it go down the road. While he had it it worked fine. No feeding or extraction problems. He shot my reloads, full load H110 behind jacketed bullets. Definitely a two handed gun but it sure was impressive to shoot at sun down.
