I use it. Absolutely brilliant and FREE. Got me a web cam. Talk till I'm blue in the face.

It is on my new lap top with a little web cam built in. Never used it and know nothing about it.

It's a GREAT, FREE program; it allows me to watch my grandkids grow up from 8,000 miles away!

I have it, just got it recently and set up. I haven't used it yet.

It works well as long as you have a high speed connection to the internet. It can save you a boat load of money on long distance charges.

I also use it for troubleshooting machinery that is thousands of miles away from where I happen to be at the moment. I have a client with a laptop walk around the malfunctioning machine & stream me live video as it acts up. We have a live conversation about the problem as I watch what is going on. I find it to be really useful. It's probably cut my need to travel by close to 20%.

My friend Peter now lives in Japan. His job interview was via Skype!

The wife and I are in Korea; my grandkids are in Maryland. You do need high-speed Internet, but the program is easy enough to run that I haven't had any major problems.

I use it to contact friend in Zimbabwe. Right now it is the best and some times only way to communicate with them.

It is probably the best way to communicate with a deployed service member.

I talk on it to my nephew and his wife in France all the time. Great program.

It is the best phone system on the net, and has been for quite some time. There are others, but they are better suited for conference calls when many folks all over the world are needed before a conversation starts. ... felix

I'm fiddling with APRS and echolink, similar in that it works through VoIP just like skype.

I like Skype since it allows Abuella to see her granddaughter despite living 800 miles away. It's user friendly and doesn't freak out the "techno challanged" old people in my life ;)

You've got to know somebody outside your area code, it's not just for international calls. I've used Skype and Google's version and both worked well, although when I started I used voice only. I bought the cheapest mic at a computer store and got to it. Between those and free long distance on my cell I've haven't paid for a call since I moved down here.

My wife uses it to talk to Michigan, North Carolina, Germany, and Afghanistan. She loves it.
