Did a web search and it still shows the company in business. Looks like they specialize in football equipment. I have no idea what these would be used for.

I think I remember seeing them at football practice. On the padded sleds the coaches stand on. When running line drills. Now that I'm thinking about it I think I'v heard them refered to as lead sleds.

I think pathfinder is in the ball park with his thoughts , the center holes are small and they for sure are lead as they are very soft and I don't have a clue myself.

Some kind of standard weights, apparently not frequently changed with a screw type
of attachment. The tackling sled sounds reasonable, but I never played football beyond
sandlot games, so no idea.
