I scored 100lbs(smelted down today) of indoor range scrap. I decided to try my LEE 1oz 12g shotgun slug mold with it. So far the best batch of slugs. Smooth , bright and popped right out of the mold with just a little tap. So far pure lead and wheel weights needed a good thud for the slug to drop.

now to find a scrapper who will take the jackets?

I am kind of in the same boat. I have several hundred pounds of copper jackets that I have skimmed off while melting down range scrap. I would like to melt them down into ingots but I am not sure how feasible that is going to be. Can you let me know if you find a scrap yard that takes them and what price you got for them (if that is not being too nosy)? Thanks.
