I loaded up a bunch of WD 452374 with 8.0gr AA#5 @ 1.230" and was surprised at the
recoil on this load. I was using WST prior to this and wanted to try out the #5 as the
WST is a pretty fast burning powder and I wanted to move down to a slower powder.
Question I am asking is: Does using AA#5 bring along with it a much snappier recoil?
This was out of a Colt OM.
I didn't chrono the load but I expect it would come in around 900+ MV which is a bit
snappier than my WST loads. I was surprised at the recoil level.
