Looks like it was a week for the postman to be bringing me 45's in brass.
An OM 45 with Super hammer and trigger and a Mihec 270 SAA. Can't wait to try both of them out and if the Brassie shoots decent, it will be shortened to 4 5/8. Gotta go heat up the pot now!

great looking gun and nice choice on the mold. I have a .45 colt on 7.5 and 5.5. My 5.5 wears a bras frame as well and is going to be set a dedicate to the same mold you have. I really like the 5.5 but I've never shot one in 4 and 5/8 . I so far really like the miha mold and I ran 50 of the big hollow points today and I was really impressed with the performance anyway cut it and blast away

That was a really good buy, I was thinking of buying it, but another deal came through at the last minute so I ran out of cash. You could take over $500 worth of parts off it, grip frame, grips and trigger as a group for $400 and the hammer for $125 to $150, replace them with about $200 worth and still have a $5-600 gun. But, it'll be a great shooter as is or even with a shorter barrel. Good score.

Very nice. I have a Ruger Old Army BP revolver and I am half temped to take that stainless grip frame off the BP revolver and put it on my OM Blackhawk in 45 Colt. I did do that one time to see how it looked and it was pretty nice.

I took a stainless vaquero frame and put it on my .45 colt bh and it really hlps it balance so much better. I have a hard time deciding which I think looks better the brass on my 5.5 in bh or the stainless on my 7.5 bh

I've got Old Army steel grip frames, blue ones, on three of my Old Model shooters and like everyone says, it sure makes a difference in the balance and handling. I also like to put steel Super grip frames on my shooters as well for the same reason, I actually like the Super ones the best, and buy them as I find them, but that's just me.
