I have never had a mold perform this well right out of the box. I cleaned this one, a RCBS 22-55gr, with brake cleaner, lubed with "Bullplate" and started casting. I cast 6 bullets and threw them in with sprues, from then on out I got great bullets. I am hoping to have this mold HP'ed too. Looks like I got a good one here. BTW, this is Lyman #2 alloy.

The bullets are now waiting final inspection, lube and checks.

What mold? Looks RCBS? Maybe even RCBS 35/200? Nice job anyway.

If the SP is anything like the FP it should shoot real good. I use the FP in my AR and 788 222.

Good looking boolits BTW.

I had another mold HP'ed by a poster from this group. For the life of me I cannot remember who it was:groner:. Can anyone help me out here? Malcolm

OOPS! I missed by a caliber or two. So can anyone tell me how the two RCBS 22 molds differ?

Well, that answered one thing I was wondering about. Obviously it is possible to cast good .22 cal bullets.
