i got some foundry lead that reads 62pb-23sb-15sn, i've looked for any threads for mixing recipes and have come up empty. i went on lasc webb site all recipes but foundry. i don't know where to look, i have a friend with a print shop that keeps me well stocked with lino-mono. but he still uses an old ludlow press that they use mostly foundry. any one have a tip where to look for mixing this stuff with ww or soft pb? thanks skimmerhead:veryconfu

Skimmer, Do a search for Alloy calculator on the site. It does not have Fondry type listed but you can change the formulas to show the Correct PB, SB,SN percentages. I tried to attach the link below.

Skimmer, what alloy do you want to end up with? If I remember correctlly I used to mix about 55 percent WW with 45 percent foundry to make the equivilent.
I am not where I can access my information but it came from the Cast Bullet Association....Wes

Skimmer,
The lead alloy calculator available online should help you with how much of what to dilute the foundry type. That's GOOD stuff!

Skimmer, you probably want to have about 2-3% Sn, with the Sb along for the ride. Since your stuff is 15% Sn, 5-6 parts Pb or WW to one part Foundry will give you a very good alloy.

thanks guy's i'll check out that site, i want too see my options on mixing, 90-6-2 or90-5-5, mixing with ww or soft pb. if i can mix an accecptable recipe with soft lead, i'll save my lino and mono to mix with ww. thanks again!!
