I have one of those Polish trainers too, WZ48, it's very accurate! The 2 piece breech is pretty interesting too.

That is quite a lot of shootin' irons you have there.

I like the .22RF also. Obviously not to the same extent however. LOL.

Hip's Ax,

That's quite a collection of Win 52's! I have shot one but don't have any of them. Maybe someday...

I do have a 513T that shoots great.

Think about getting a 10/22 and building a bull barrel rabbit rifle.

Great minds think alike Doug. Been considering a HB 10/22 for a gopher gun.

John, Its a little strange as I really wasn't shopping for 52's per sey, they just fell in my lap. I bought the 52D from the CMP years ago (2004??) and it was my only 52 up until about a year and a half ago.

The 52B and 52C standard barrels came from a friend who had won them at auction unexpectedly and his wife gave him heck so I bailed him out, LOL. The B is in pristine condition and the C is close. I fired the C a bit and you can just tell its a brand new rifle.

The 52C custom prone gun came from a close friend who needed money for pick up truck repairs, I told him it was a pawn and he could have it back for the same money when ever he wanted, he passed away last December.

The 52C heavy barrel is in really nice shape and was donated to one of the rifle clubs I belong to to be sold off to benefit the junior smallbore program, I REALLY love this rifle. I fired some 50 and 100 yard targets with it recently and this rifle can clean if I do my part.

The 52E came unexpecedly as well, a friend was aware of two 52E's for sale in Colorado but he didn't want them. Another friend and I decided to buy them both, he kept the custom modified prone gun E and I took the one in original condition. I have to find some screws and a trigger guard and some other small parts but both of us feel the rifle may be unfired. Its has the recessed muzzle and the flat bolt handle and a VERY high serial number. Might only be a couple dozen rifles from the end of production.

Just in the right place at the right time. 8-)

Never had a 22 that I didn't like. Some were better than others, but I liked 'em all. The best was a Gevarm steel action, followed by an Erma lever in 22 Magnum. Brings you back to those carefree days when you were a kid....Oh the folley of youth - wish I still had 'em.
