Hey all , Im thinking about picking one of these molds up, in a 6 cavity. Looking for something to turn out large number of bullets for casual shooting. Just wondered if anyone could tell me how wide the meplat of this bullet is ?

Thanks in advance!

i dont have the 6  but i do have the double cavity , mine is in between .290 and.300 and that ties in as the average is .295 ( granted i only measured 6 but the 7th was .295 lolz )

I have been using that mold this week! I just finished sizing about a 1000 boolits last night. They are cast of WW alloy and drop out of the mold at between .403" and .404". I got my first mould from Midway and it was dropping out of round boolits by as much as .005", so I called Pat at Lee and he said send it in and they will replace it. In about a week I got the replacement mould back, two cavities had been smoked so I know that it was tested before they sent it. The replacement mold drops boolits to less than .001" out of round, most within .0005" max if I do my part. I am very happy with this mould as I like the shape and the single lube groove and it can produce a big pile of boolits in a hurry.

Thanks fellas , I think I will pick one of these up. It sounds like a great mold. Sure is nice to hear about the great customer service from Lee , a lot of times ,you can't get that kind of service, from someone charging many times that much for a product !

thanks again !!
