Which Alloy Is Better For .....

I have local access to two different types of bullet casting alloys, and didn't know which would be better for silhouette and bullseye shooting. I don't have to pay shipping or internet prices, and he is only 20 minutes away.

Which would be better of these two lead alloys ....

Lyman #2 (5-5-90)

or

Hard Cast (2-6-92)

I will be casting 9mm, 41 mag, 44 mag, 45 ACP, and 45-70 Govt.

You probably won't be able to tell any difference. The 2-6-92 is slightly more brittle than #2, other than that I'd consider them interchangeable.

This is the first I've heard of anybody in Owensboro selling alloy...care to share your source?
