Can anybody tell me the thread size for the drop tube on RCBS or Hornady powder measures? I would like to make one/have one made that is a little longer for easier use. I have on that is longer, but tha adapter is too big around to go through the Hornady quick load stand that I am using, and would like to make one longer that will just thread in without the adapter so I don't have to unscrew it every time I empty the measure. Thanks, Billy

Try 9/16-18

9/16 X 18 is correct. I made a longer drop tube out of a bolt with this size thread. I drilled it internally lengthwise (1/4" is good) and put a countersunk bevel at the measure end of it. I rounded off the bolt head to the size that would fit into the recessed end of a Lee hex-nut screw- the part that they use in their powder-thru-adapter (it is the same diameter as their powder funnel). So now the measure can ride in use on any of the turret presses and works with the powder thru feature of many dies. LLS
