I am in need of a boolit mold for a 03A3 and have looked at the Lyman 311679 that was designed by John Ardito. Does anyone know why he designed this mold and if it was for a specific rifle caliber or a specific rifling form.

Also, Lyman says their 311644 boolit is good in the 03A3. I'd appreciate some feedback from anyone who has used this boolit, especially if it was used in an 03A3.

I had a throating reamer made to match the 311679 and have shot down to .303 and .313 with it. I'm still working the bugs out but had one 100 yard 5 shot group aggregate (4 groups) that was .570". This was not in a .30/06.

My 1903 shoots RCBS the 180FN, 180SP and NEI 72A excellent. My 100 yard 5 shot average is 1.4-1.5".
