Avatars for Dummies

I thought I'd add an Avatar to your humble corespondent's postings.

I'm stepping all over myself trying to install/upload/link one. [smilie=b:

Knowing as much about this sort of thing as I do about Swahili, I'm hoping someone has the patience and lots of free time to 'splain it to me.

I should mention that I edit photos on Photo Bucket.

Go to the user control panel (USER CP) upper left corner of this page...click it

In user CP go to edit avatar.

enter in the address of said avatar or select the image from your harddrive, or choose one of the ones that are already available. I give you a smurf while I was making sure I remembered how to do it. You can nuke that when you add the one you want.

You may need an avatar resizer utility free from places such as C-Net to make it fit this forum. I needed to do that.
