Anybody know what type of vehicle these weights go to? How they attach? I got about 2 dozen of them in a 5gal bucket from a shop that deals with old muscle cars. I know they are Pb, I just wanted some background on what they are for.

How big are these weights?
I can't tell by the pictures.
I'm thinking that they might be highline weights. If so then they fold over the wire.

The big one is 2.06"x1.24". The gap is .312"
They have an awful lot of brake dust on them, doesn't necessarily make them WW, but I thought they were :)
I take it that the "step" on the outside edge is so you can pry them open for removal?

Seen some, but don't know what they are.

Beats me. Highline weights would have been 40 pounders or so.

i can only guess.... finding them with brake dust on them pretty much assures that they are wheel related perhaps for the disc brake rotor or even ye olde drum brake ????? i dont really think wire wheels but i cant discount it either

My brother works at a Ford dealership and he recently gave me a bucket of wheel weights that had some of these. I'm going to check with him and find out where they came from.

I just got a bucket from a tire store that had 1 of those in it. I was in the auto parts business for 20 years and never seen one before.

Take some samples to a tire store. They would be very likely to know if they are wheel weights and how they are used.

Update. I asked him about the weight and, like 35isit, he had never seen one like that either. And he has worked in a Ford dealership since the early 70s.
