Back when lead got aroun $1.10 per pound scrappers were paying $0.85
It got down to about $0.90 and I had to pay $0.80 for a barrel of WWs that turned out to have 480 pounds linotype in it with my 600 pounds of WWs.

Today lead is down to $0.71 and may drop more.
If it turns out that scrap lead can be bought under sixty cents per pound , I'm going to try to get about a ton of it.

I just wonder ,... what if it goes down to $0.50 per poung? Can we buy scrap fot $0.40 maybe?

Estate sale yesterday, bought 140lb pure with 5lb pure tin bars $70. Then resale guys showed up and th party was on. Price skyed to over $1 lb. Also picked up like new mag 20 furnance,$100, I'm happy.

It's all very location specific. The biggest issue w/ buying scrap ww is are you really getting lead or zinc & lead?

The market price is global but , the opinion of local ignorance varies.
