Man it was hot & muggy !!!

The dot measures 1 5/8".

Why the difference in fps on the 4895 loads, the slow 1 was shot first of the bunch & the fast 1s the last of the run .

I did let the barrel cool between loadings ????

Is this more work-up on your Mosin loads? Look'n real good, GP! I swear I'm going to get mine out and work up my casts for it one of these days---really! It'll happen! Hope I get as much success as you are... thumbs up!

NO,no I`m sorry this is the boolit for 30-06 , The RLB is gonna have a meet in Jacksonville, NC & a few members are gonna take the 06 with cast so I thought I`d try my hand !

I had trouble findin data for the 311413, it`s not in the book !

I think I`m gonna pursue the 4320 & 4064 loadings a bit then move em to 100yds.

Rangefinder I`ve thought `bout it in the Mosin though !!

Nice groups! I always like a good range report, and I do like that 413. I've only played with it, never got serious, but it shot fine. I mostly like the way it looks in a loaded round, I like spire points. You've probably tried the 334, kinda similar but heavier, longer, easier to shoot well with a little more speed. I have a dream(!), I want to try the 413 with a super duper hard alloy, a filler and a good dose of a slower powder. This will be for a 1/12" 30-06 CZ. Also, I've beagled my sc 314 mold and that seemed to help accuracy.

I have had spotty success with the #311413 boolit in a .308Win
my best to date is this picture.....I sized them 0.311 and they seemed to work better than when I sized them to 0.309,,,,and Im using 30 gr of IMR 4895

I`ve thought about it & the first 5 of 4895 was after some reddot loads ,which I find reddot loads sooty or alot of carbon left behind .

Gonna patch the bore after each load of 5 , I get no leadin at all ,I sized to 310 & lubed with Lars45 carnauba red leaves the bore clean & shiny .

I had shot nearly 60 rnds. & was suprised at the almost absense of foulin !!

I use a pretty heavy lubricant, so I usually clean every 20 rounds......the IMR 4895 burns very clean so it is the lubricant I need to take care of....Im shooting about 1800-2000 fps and no leading
my best accuracy seems to be when I size my boolits .002 over the groove dia which is
(.309)...if I size them at .309 I get more spreading
