I had a lee 4-20 bottom pour given to me but the pot is in rough shape. So I was wondering it it would be possible to remove the bottom pour mechanism in a lee pro 4-20 and replace the pot with a lee standard 20lb pot as I would not be using the bottom pour for my casting needs.

There should be 4 screw's holding the pot in.
Undo them and see what you have to work with.

I had a 4-20 and just took off the bottom pour stuff and put a tack weld o the spout to seal it up. The best thing about the Lee is later I traded it and the guy wanted it to be a bottom pour so I put the parts back on and ordered a new spout from Lee. The spout was a dollar or two and they had it to me in a few day's. FB

Send the pot back to Lee. For 50% retail of new, they will refurbish your pot to new and ship it back to you. You will have a new pot, no mess trying to adapt a new pot to the old heater core.

Yes, you can. The pots are identical with the exception of the bottom pour hole.

I would suggest what cwskirnisher said, let LEE refurbish it for you.
When mine gets bad enough, that is my plan.
