:wrong section: please move to the appropriate area please sorry for screwing up my first post.

I am just getting into reloading and when I bought my second had pacific press it came with a 44 magnum bullet mold....well that got me thinking 'I have a turkey frier access to cheap cast iron muffin pans and lots of lead" now guess where this went the main reason I am reloading is because of the cost of .30 cal carbine and .308 which I use to destroy cans of soda accuracy is not a major thing for me but cost per round it.

The rifles that will be eating these are a 49/56 MAS and a M1 Carbine.

I like this one for plinking with both my M-1 carbine and with several of my 30-06 rifles.

That would be the one and don't forget to use GCs if you want the best accuracy.

+1 for the Lee 120 - I have used it for over 30 years, and got good accuracy.

Is there a good flat-base mould that works well for the carbine?

There is an active group buy for a 30 Carbine mold. You can purchase PB, GC or both.

If I can just get rid of my saeco I think I will join that group by since the mold is almost being made for the carbine

The Lyman 311410 130gr works well in the carbine and other light 30 cals like the SKS. Another is the Lyman 311359 115gr but it is a GC bullet.
