I have some Graffs K-31 brass, after 2 or 3 loadings the necks start to split, I have annealed (sic) this brass a couple of times, I use very light loads w/ C-B, neck size only, I have had to toss approx. 30 rd's so far out of 200. Soooooooo did I get a bad lot of brass or is this normal?? I have 500 rd's of 7.62x54 nagant brass also Graffs and had no trouble with it..

Is there any other brass I can form/ use for the K-31????

Being that K-31's are well made rifles I was going to say maybe the mouth part of the chamber was too large, but knowing their quality workmanship I'd say you got bad brass. You can form brass out of 284 Winchester.

with the 284 brass,be sure to use the same shellholder for a for a 308 30-06 or similar shell holder, as the K31 shell holder will rip the rim off , as the k31 brass has slightly larger rim.

284 Win brass seems to work well. Cannot find any right now. I hope, think
Win should be doing a run of 284 brass yet this year I think,

Try measuring the neck and see how much it is expanding after you shoot!

For cast bullet loads in the K-31 --- the Lee Collet neck sizer works great.
Adjust it so you are sizing the fired case necks only about .003" --- just to where
you can't move the seated bullet with your fingers.

I have both Graff cases and 284 WIN cases that are in good shape after more
than 40 firings when sized like that.

I also use Graf 7.5x55 brass and have had no problems yet. Neck size only, low velocity CB loads, brass is as good as new. Widener's has .284 Winchester brass that is easily formed to 7.5 Swiss. Try this link.

The chambers on K31's are pretty generous, especially in the shoulder area. I think the neck too. This doesn't mean they don't shoot well. Are you sure you are annealing correctly? What is the outside neck diameter of a fired case and the diameter of a case as it comes from your neck sizer? Probably a big difference and you are work hardening the necks. Proper annealing should help, unless you have some bad brass. Might try giving Graf's a call and see what they say.

I've been using Graf's brass. For the J-bullet loads I have been full length resizing it since I load for a couple of different rifles. I know I have reloaded some 5 or 6 times with factory strength loads and have not lost a case yet.
