Just for the heck of it, loaded up some 72Gr. WC in some 380 case.

Would have never thought it would work.
But didn't have a single failure to feed.

I think it is going to be a good reliable little gun.
Fun to shoot too.

that should make the little .380 slap a bit better. It also pushes me a little closer to a lcp

Ive got two of them. Never tried wad cutters but they never missed a beat with any of the ammo i have tried.

Jeeze Swede, I suppose that's one of your unavailable moulds? I have an Astra Constable that might like that design....

Swede--

Izzat boolit a close duplicator of Lyman #358101? My only usage of that mould was to stack two such boolits into 38 Special cases ahead of 3.0 grains of 231, and spring them on Buckshot with his K-38s. I didn't have the heart to play the trick on him, though.

No 380s on board here currently. That kind of work with WADCUTTERS says volumes about the Ruger LCP's feed reliability, though. I doubt that Walther PP-series pistols would do so well.

That was a buy that we ran last year.

Have had great luck with its big brother (155Gr.) in my S&W 52.

This is what gave me the idea for the Ruger.

Very interesting -- I never would have suspected they would feed!!

I'm curious to ask what powder and charge you used, and approximate velocity?

Thanks!

John

John

I used a 2Gr. load of Russian Unique.
Have no idea as to the velocity.
If I was to guess I would say 600 to 700 feet.
