I currently have a 7.5" Redhawk, a 1894 Carbine, and a .44 Charter Arms snubbie, so I guess you could say I like .44's.

My idea is I can pack one of these on my hip about as easily as I can my 4" GP100 in .357 Mag, and it would be something different. My standard load would probably be either a light cast bullet (Lee 200gr RNFP) or a 200 grain HP with 10 grains of Unique. Maybe something heavier if I wanted to punish myself or impress my friends.

Might be picking one of these up in the next few months and I value your all's opions so I was just wondering what you all thought. Does anyone here have one of these that has an opinion?

Are they accurate enough for informal, pop-can-target-shooting out to 20-50 yards?

I had loads that went into an inch and a half at 25 with the 454 i had. I would guess that if anything the 44 is eaiser to work up loads for then the 454. Off hand it was a piece of cake to hit pop cans at 25 yards.
