I was thinking I getting an jug of surplus powder
any recommendations for a Win 94 in .32ws shooting
cast 170gr gc.
I would like a plinking load and a hunting load.

Corvette, that would be WC844 or AA2230C. Both are surplus and will work. Also, though I've not tried it in 30-30 yet (works good in some other stuff), seems like DP73 would be a really good'un. sundog

Corky, knock off 4 grains for the 30-30 from the amount for the 32-30 (same boolit weight, etc.) ... felix

Surplus 4895 works well in 30-30 with cast, so I don't know why it wouldn't work in 32WS.

I forget which suplus powder is H335, but 30/H335/170 RCBS GC is a steller load in my Winchester 94 carbine in 32 WS.. A full snort load but as accurate as any condom load.
