Once in a great while you fall off the manure wagon and come up smelling like a rose...not often though. A friend asked me to look at a pistol someone had taken apart for him (to clean it) and never put it back together. He said he couldn't figure it out and asked me if I could. The pistol was a .32 auto, savage with the date 1905 stamped on top of it. I got it back together and gave me some "old " .32-20's he had laying around...

They are all full boxes, lead and jacketed and the price tags on them range from $6.35 to $8.70....go figure....

I have two questions for you.

Where is the .32/20 rifle that the ammo belonged to?

Does he have any "old" .25/20 ammo laying around?

I thought I scored well today when I bought a box of .32/20 that had 32 rounds unfired and the remaining 18 empties in the box for $5. But you did way better than I did.

The gentleman had an old double action colt revolver at one time and he just stocked up on ammo. Negitive on the .25-20.

I was just lucky and mentioned my Marlin .32-20 during a conversation about shooting...Woo...Hoo...

Those Remingtons have about the nicest jacketed 32-20 bullet going. They used to run something like $8.00 a hundred and you could get 1K for around $60.00 if you waited for the sales.

Of course I was working for $4.50 an hour back then......
