Maybe some of you will enjoy these pics. It started out as an original 93 straight grip action that I had a bit of work done to it.

Shooter 93,

Do you think that wood would fit an 1894 Marlin? Just in case you get tired of looking at that wood I might know some one who would be interested in it.

Seriously who did the work for you?

It's a 38-55 and shoots pretty well with a 275 grain LBT. I think I'm going to try a different style nose in the 270 range though as I'm not pushing them all that fast. I carried it a couple years deer hunting but didn't shoot one with it. Deer hunting for me is pretty much just a walk in the woods these days. A very good friend of mine just happens to be one of the countries best Gun Builders....Theodore Ulmer. I renovated his shop and added a second story on it and he builds me guns. The engraving was done by another friend in Arizona. I have a 94 marlin in the works as well as replica 1873 and 76 Winchesters which will get similar treatment. Custom guns are a disease with me...smiles. And needless to say....the buttplate was a bit of whimsy.
