I bid once or twice. The price got too high to take a chance the dies were in a calibre I,m not interested in and I dropped out.

email question sent to deltaenterprizes

Pressman

The bushing is a Herter's. Most of their presses had an 1-1/4-18 to 7/8-14 bushing. This one was for adapting the Lyman 310 dies to a Herter's press.
The hand crank thing is a Herter's GLH case prep tool.

My grandfather was a great fan of King Edward. He had empty boxes all over the machine shed back in the late 50's.

Thanks for the info Pressman, I now have 2 of those bushings, I got one in some other lot of misc reloading equipment about 20 years ago and finally figured out exactly what it is for. I always thought it was for the 310 dies but could not figure out what it screwed into.

If one of the Herter's shell holders is a #23, please, do drop me a PM. Mine is getting a tad ragged, after 50 years!

I have 2 #1s and a #6 with holes for the decapped primers ans a #1 and #6 with no hole for the swaging die punches.
The #1 looks like it fits a 38 sp case and the #6 may fit 45ACP,308,30'06 etc.
What does the #2 fit?

I have a "23" in the threaded style, as seen in the photo below.
But I don't have a "23" in the slotted style.

If I decide to sell any swage dies I will post them here first before they go on the swappin and sellin section.
The swaging dies were why I gambled on the lot.

I bought an adapter for my Dads Herter #3 cheaper in the long run and easier to do.

I have a pair of adapters, and they work great, except when it comes time to prime. I get a much better primer seating with my press, than any of the hand primers I have tried.

There is a gent selling Herters conversion parts, on Ebay, that has primer plungers for the RCBS type adapter he sells. I just can't quite swallow paying $40, plus shipping, for the set.

So, I will keep hunting for a bona fide Herter's shell holder...
