Stevens 200 heavy barrel stock, interchange with Savage 10?

I recently came into a Savage 10, heavy barrel, new model with accutrigger. It has the Choate "sniper" stock on it- heavy, ugly etc......So I am looking for a different/factory stock.

I found a Stevens heavy barrel stock at a local pawn shop. They don't seem to know how they came into possession of it but are willing to let it go very reasonably. Anyone know if they interchange?

As long as it is the same length action, it should work. You may have to do some minor fitting.

The Stevens will probably have a shorter distance between the action screws than the Savage, but measure them to be sure.
