I think you're refering to the Oldfeller-45 2.1 design. If so, I have only a little experience with it. Most of my shooting with that boolit is in my scoped M38 with SR4759 and 18 grains seemed to be the best load. I will occasionally get a 2" group at 100 yards, but I can't count on it to happen everyday. My M96 doesn't like it very much, although it will shoot it almost as well as the M38 does, when it's cold. (go figure that one) There are a bunch of posters on this board who have a lot more experience with it. I'm sure you'll hear from them.

I cast mine out of wheelweights and size to 0.268". In the M38 it shoots well with Unique. The 96s are a little more finicky.

BS: 170 Oldfeller
13.5 gr Alcan AL-5
FC 210 primer
1479 fps- most accurate load I've found(1" @ 50)
I tried loads up to 1650 fps, but the most accurate loads were all in the 1500 fps range.
20.0 gr WC846- second most accurate(1.5" @50)necks have to be annealed good or you will get gas back thru the bolt -1465 fps
16.0 SR4759-1620 fps shotgun pattern
cast of WW+lino 016-17 bhn,.266 sizer, Tamarrack lube,M96 Others on this board were getting good accuracy at higher velocity with softer bullets, I must admit I quit looking after I found the top listed load, something to do in the future. Hope this helps
