Anyone owning a Romanian M69 Training Rifle needs to have this Owners Manual written by Mr. Paul Liska. Many moons ago, I purchased two of them and he was kind enough to sign my copy. Some topics covered include the bolt, trigger group, magazine, sights, scope rails and trouble shooting. He even includes a mechanical drawing of the ejector/firing pin as it's the most common thing to fail with these rifles and you may want to machine a replacement. In a recent thread started by Freightman concerning the M69, there is a discussion regarding mounting a scope and modifying scope rings to fit the scope rails. Mr. Liska points out in the manual that there have been two types of rails observed. The "Dovetail" and "Square cut", the latter possibly being the result of a skipped or missed machining process. In any case, there are at least four scope mounts listed in the manual which have been found to work well on the M69 rifle. These little rifles are great and fun to shoot. Thanks to Mr. Liska, I've been able to keep mine operating smoothly. Here's a link for anyone interested: http://www.arnoldline.com/Paul/RomanianM69.html

this thread jogs my memory that I got some of these stashed for the grandkids someday. I restocked one to look like a vz24 for my son but I was alittle concerned about the innards, some of the important metal areas I thought could have been harder.
