I have a m69 22 that I didn't shoot much, I was at the Gun show this morning just browsing and a friend had a bunch of scopes for good price so I bought one. It is a Western Field made by Weaver very clear. Came home and mounted it on the M69, I had made a set of rings for it a while back as the groves are not standard. Loaded it up with some Aguila Super Colibri and set a target against the fence , took thre shots to zero but at 60' it is a tack driver, "watch out "TREE RATS" you are in trouble. The noise if far less than an air gun and not a lot more expensive. Here is what it looks like with a scope, o by the way it is a 3x9x32.

sometimes those aguilas will hang in a rifle barrel, the ones I have says to shoot in a handgun only.

All do but never had one hang in the m69 and I always listen for the hit, anyhow they will not feed from the mag as they are to short.
Did have a problem with a Mossberg I have but not this m69.

How did you mount the scope. I am thinking of milling the vertical sides of the base on the receiver so that I can use a regular set of clamp on rings.

I took a cheap set of China 22 rings the two piece clamp type and filed the small side down until they fit tight, took less than 30 minutes.

Ditto for me. Purchased mine when they were under $70.00! A friend of mine was given his as a "gift" from his in-laws.

Rings that fit the existing groove can be found.

Yep. At least four different sets have been proven to work satisfactorily.

I love my rom 69 as well. got mine cheap years ago. Really a high quality rimfire for the money. Got a simmons 22 rf scope . guess I really need to modify the rings to fit

Millett Angle-Loc rings work great on the 69...

Great gun - I spent more on having mine threaded and setting the front sight back than I did for the gun - wish I could find magazines for it.

Magazines are not that difficult to find for the Romanian.

I picked up one of those for under $60. With the iron sights I can easily stay in an inch at 50yds using Remington Golden HPs. It's got a really tight chanber, but once the bullet's in the chamber, squirrels are in serious danger.
