I have been layed up for a few days with a bumb knee
Can't bend it without trying to pass out with pain
Xrays , pain meds and lots of other pills
Hopefuly they get me fixed up soon
So I have had to much time to think
I figured if I liked a boolit design that was plain based
But would like to try and push it past what a plain base would handle
I could just add a thin AL. pop can check
I was thinking if I made a Free Check maker to use pop can AL.
And make it , to make the checks slightly over sized
Say .455 ID to fit over the plain base .4535 boolit I am currently casting
Could I then just size them on and have the check stay if I ran them through a .453 sizer base first ?
Or would there be to much spring back and the check would sometimes come off ?
Then I thought a drop of Superglue before sizing to make sure the check stayed in place if there was going to be to much spring back
Your thoughts ?
I have acess to the tools to make a Free Check type tool
I figure I have enough smarts to make the parts
But I have 3 or 4 other projects already started ....1 I started 2+ years back
So if this idea interests anyone
Have fun and report back how it worked
As I forsee way to many 50-70 hr work weeks as soon as I can bend my knee
To even think of starting another project
That is till I atleast get 1 or 2 started projects finished :coffee::coffee:
