I just bought a mold for a .380.Lubing for that small of cast bullet should be
OK don't you think.

I would not think my .40 or .380 would need anything less than a tumble
of alox, wouldn't you?[smilie=f:

Alox works fine on all calibers of boolits. Go crazy have fun, but dont put too much on them or they will be sticky. I am a little confused be the word patching in your title. I am not following what you mean there.

Pistol boolits are a bit tiny to patch and a lot of work. It would be fun to try and get it to work but I wouldn't want to to do volumes. If I still had my 44mag I'm sure I would have been patching for it just because I could and it would have added a new dimention to the fun of shooting it. I didn't shoot volumes with it, nor did it ever lead.

arent we all cousins in some way or another? Could be, but we are all a band of brothers in the gun-nut/shooting sense!:drinks:

Cajun? Please educate me. I've heard of Cajun but I don't actually know who they are.

I'm a mixture of all kinds of Western European nutters myself.[smilie=1:

I went through a similar thought process. I hate lubing, and actually think paper patching is relaxing. But I lubed the little .380 bullets by using needle nose pliers to pick them up by the nose and dip the lower half in LLA. They work great.

Does the LLA soak right through both wraps?
