WW/Pure alloy?

Just got reunited with an old friend today, one that just happens to work at a tire shop:bigsmyl2: So I naurally after a few beers got all the wheel weights that he had. My question to the casting gods is this; Will a 50/50 mix of pure and ww give a good boolit, with a little tin mixed in for fill out. I have a good bit of pure, and a more than ample supply of 50/50 bar solder.
I am shooting a 44mag 30-30 and a 45acp.
I would like a good hunting boolit for the 44 and 30-30 but just targets with the 45.

boom - The 50/50 mix will certainly be great for the ACP. If you're going to run the 44 hard, use straight WW's . The 30-30 will be fine with straight WW. And yes, maybe 2% tin for sharp fillout. And welcome to your new favorite "hobby" and cast boolits!!. enjoy Mike

Thanks Captaint, Thats pretty much what I was thinking. It would be nice to be able to strech out my ww as that is what I have the least amount of.

For 45acp & 44mags to 1200fps, 50/50 mix will work fine. Water drop them for a bit higher vel in the 44mag or 30-30.
