I'd like to slug a .44 revolver and have heard of using fishing sinkers. I just measured various sinkers from my multi size mold, and the closest to .430 that I have is .450. It this too much to swage down through the barrel?
What if I drill a 7/16" (.438) hole into some hard wood to use as a slug mold? One end of the slug should be rounded from the shape of the drill bit, or if not rounded enough I could file it.
I'll use some stick-on wheel weights as I think they are the softest stuff I have on hand, and lube the slug and barrel, as I've read.
Any other tips?
