I have a spotting scope and it has a tripod.
The tripod is a PITA as it never seems to work right.
Saw a bench rest shooter with a great mount from Sinclair.
That is until I saw the price tag. $150 delivered for a piece of pipe with a couple of clamps on it.
They sure are proud of their products.
As I was looking at it I got the idea to use a furniture clamp <you know the kind you put a piece of pipe in for the bar.
Any way a pipe cap on top drilled and taped for the top of the little tripod to mount the scope on and you are set to use.
Now the question is will they laugh me off the range since I didn't use a sinclair mount.
Somehow I just do not care, its cheap ,it works. and my scope doesn't fall over any more.
