Anyone using it, happy/disappointed with the results.

38 SPL 150-173 grain boolit

44 SPL 200-245 grain boolit

44 Mag 200-278 grain boolit

I've never seen it for sale locally. I have used Red Dot though in all those loadings...Ray

I use 6.5 of red dot under a 250 grn 429421 as an every day load in .44 mag if that helps you any.

You can use Red Dot data (by weight, not volume) to load Promo. It's the same as old recipe Red Dot without the red dots. It's a fast powder like 700X or Clays (or, Red Dot).

Ive used a ton of promo in 38 special as cheap Red dot. Loads by weight with RD data. Do NOT load with RD data by volume as promo is remanufactured lots of other powders that didn't make the cut and varies dramatically from lot to lot. When using new cans of Promo, always weigh charges before assuming a volumetric measure is correct. I've seen as much as a 10% variation in bulk in the same weight charge between lots.
