I recently received a lee 410 165 TL mould and made some boolits and now can't find any loads for it.
Any suggestions for a 41 mag or 41 special to be used in a smith 657?

What powders/primers do you have? ... felix

I have most of the mid range and fast burning powder. I have one can of 4227

Need a list. 4227 is not cost effective for such a light boolit. ... felix

Try 7 grains of Unique in the 41 mag.

Good morning
+1 with what Starmetal said. I would use UNIQUE for any revolver load.... It ognites easily and generally will not do something CRAZY until you try to go Magnum.
I have a 175 boolit and I used 5 grains in that to make a squirrel load.
BE sure your boolit is overthroat sized or you will get unhapy results.

Agree! If you have more WW 231/HP238 than Unique, use same load and work down very gradually until you get about the same feel as you would with Unique. Use mild primer like Federal 150. ... felix

Gents
I started at 6 and went up to 6.6 of Unique and did very well. One hole group at 10 yards offhand!! I will cast some more and go up to seven..
I will try 231 next week.
thanks for the info

I have the same hold It is listed at 175 TL. As usual depends on your alloy. I beleive it was for the 41 AE origally I have the LEE 24O SINGLE CAVITY. AND THE OLD 195 sc FROM MY DAD. Sorry for the bold type. I never use the 240( seems like a waste of lead) Makes a nice slow heavy bullet . I would try to fine 41 AE loads for the 165 grainer

I also have a TL410-175-SWC mould and use that bullet in light plinking/small game loads for my 7 1/2" Ruger Bisley. I cast them of soft range lead and load over 5 gr of Bullseye. I size and lube with Javelina in a 410 H die in the 450 just because (no other real reason as TL'd bullets shoot just as well) and crimp lightly in the top lube groove. Twice around the cylinder (12 shots) went 924 fps at 15' with an SD of 6 and an ES of 23. It is an exceptionally accurate load in my revolver. Recoil is nil and the report isn't hardly noticeable with just foam ear plugs in. I highly recommend you try this load with your bullet.
