I just struck a deal to pick up a vintage SAECO RG-4 mold and handles ($45). I have never used this bullet although I hear some good things about it. Tell me what you know about it and any tips for loading it in the 30-06 will be appreciated.

JSH has one of those that I borrowed. His drops boolits right at .308". My old 721 Remington shoots them well, but it shoots everything well. My military '06s don't do well with it. My SAECO .270 mold is about identical in style, and shoots very well since I Beagled it. I guess my advice is, don't cast several hundred of them before you measure nose and driving band diameters.

It is still in production, but under another number. It shoots well in a rifle that it can bore ride in.
