Thought you guys might like to see my deer antler bolt knob on my sporterized Turk 38. Can't see it very well in the photo but there's a brass pin through it.

Never seen one like that before, but than again I've never seen one of those snazzy fluro slings that you make before either. Definetely different, be good in the snow. Mick.

Mick,

If it snows and it stays in Louisiana, Junior may be doing some serious cussing!

I've done some training down there with the Army in November and in February and it was in the 70's both times. A little cold at night but warms up nice in the day.

But that bolt knob is a nice project that I can see myself doing as well to a couple of Turk bolts I have although I think I would keep the original handle for it's thickness and add an antler nub (or a cue ball) to it.

Bruce, a small 8-ball was my first thought for the bolt knob. I couldn't find a small one, so I thunk up the antler knob. It looks better than an 8-ball, I think.

If I see any minature cue balls, I'll holler. What number? 8 I suppose. Mick.
