I have used AA8700 with great success in my 1886 40-82WCF and 1895 38-72 WCF 43 spanish rolling block. Now AA8700 is not made and H870 seerms very close, has any one tried it? Good or Bad? Thanks Paul

I used it in a 264 Win Mag and found that it was the only powder that would give me factory claimed ballistics in that rifle. It worked good for that but I never tried it with cast

The fact that a newcomer posts something in the wrong place is not grounds to scream at him.

A POLITE re-direction to the correct forum would be amply sufficient.

This Board does NOT chastise, punish, or otherwise belabor members for either this type of error, OR THREAD DRIFT, unlike many other places on the Internet where minor tyrants seem to enjoy their "power" over mere members.

Black powder is unique and interesting stuff, but neither it nor its devotees will be sullied or harmed by breathing a mention of smokeless powder.

Probably not that far off. In a lot of those dash calibers it gives black powder velocities...Ray
