I was wondering if any of you fine folks out there would have pet load for the often imitated but never repeated 30-06.
Here's the ingredients;

1)Stevens model 200 in the aforementioned calibration.
2) IMR 4064, H335 baking powder.
3) 170 grain lee (yes, unstoppable lee molded boolit, tasty and delicious) flat nose with gas check I have the option of casting from ww or lino.

Goals;
I am not trying to hunt elephants or push the bullet at near light speeds. I just need a target/coyote/groundhog load.
I thank you all in advance for your support.

If those are the only two powders you can choose from, I'd do 35gr of IMR 4064 as H335 being a ball powder doesnt typically react well to reduced loads. If I had a chance, I'd buy either a can of Red Dot or of Unique and try 10gr of either.

The 4064 load should give close to 1900fps depending on your barrel, the Unique or RD loads will be closer to 1400.

I used 12 grains of Unique under a 170 grain (weight as cast with gas check) Saeco #316 for great accuracy as a plinker and 1450-1475 fps.

If you are buying powder I have had great luck with 2400 from 16 to 22 gr, from 150 gr to 220 gr projectiles.

As far as light loads go I have used titegroup, american select, universal, and wsf. All were accurate out to about 100 yards but need to adjust scope. Not sure FPS don't have my crony yet. But I would stick to universal or unique. I think there is published data for unique or universal in lyman cast bullet manual. IMR 4227 worked to. I used the light loads 6-7 grs to take critters out of my back yard. Skunks seem to drop over at the site of these loads.
