30-30 fire-lapp boolit

What would be a good boolit to use for fire-lappping a 30-30 Marlin with micro-groove barrel.

Check with Marshal Stanton of Bear Tooth bullets. I got lapping compound and instructions from him. I have NO complaints at all. I would start with any lead bullet rolled in the compound and loaded VERY light. Mine dropped into the dirt within twenty five yards. The bullet just needs to clear the barrel.

Before you go doing it do you really need it? Most Marlin barrels I have looked down seemed to have nice bores.
