Found the sweet spot !

This didnt take long as I thought.thanks to you guys helping me out on here...I got a good inch group at 110 yards with standard deviation of 3 fps...Now I can experiment with lube...I'm thinking I may just have it all good now though, but I really didnt experiment with lube except for find a solid batch that didnt crumble or be too soft..Pedersoli 45/70, goexFF, lyman postel 535 grain, sized 457

Congratulations on finding that G-spo...err...sweet spot, Harpman, but I am curious...

Given the dimensions of most Pedersoli chambers (especially up in the throat) what made you decide on sizing your bullets down to .457"?

Well, I dont have a lubesizer..all I have been using is lee sizers, So I bought one of theirs for 45/70..

Try pan lubing and shooting unsized. My Postel casts at .458 and is accurate as cast.
