Doing the modified Emmert's lube50% beeswax, 40% Crisco, 10% Anhydrous Lanolin. Everything is in the crock pot starting to melt very well. Going to lube up some 500 gr .459 boolits then finish loading for my next range trip Thursday.

Note to self "Next time cut the beeswax into smaller pieces" these are about 1 inch square with a couple maybe 2 x1 x 1.

Next time, you might try melting the beeswax first, then adding the other ingredients and blending them in... it doesn't do any good to heat the low melting stuff up all the way and all the time while that beeswax is coming up to temp. JMHO.

PS I like to add a very small amount (1-2%) of carnauba wax to mine... I put it in with the beeswax to melt first. GF

Got lucky or good thing I only wanted to lube these 50 boolits or I would have come up short. Next time I'll double the batch, plenty of room in the crock pot.
Used a turkey baster to spead the lube into the cake pan, wife said okay to that but I owe her a new turkey baster[smilie=l:
